The Company has high innovative and technical potential, modernizes production and processes through developing and applying advanced technologies and equipment. This forms one of the significant competitive advantages of Tatneft and allows to increase the profitability of production. The Company believes that the most important basis for its dynamic development is interaction with the largest Russian scientific and educational centers. Joint research and production inventions, industrial testing and experimental application of know-how allow the Company to occupy the position of one of the industry leaders in terms of the innovative technological potential. The Company provides the market with advanced certified production technologies and information products, many of which are unique.

Today in the Company practically all stages of production are provided with modern information systems, starting from the level of team and finishing with corporate systems of top management level, which are integrated into a single information space. The main task at the present stage is a deeper penetration of IT in all business processes.

Target focus is the technology needed to implement the strategy, effective investment in research and development and experimental programs.

The Company plans to implement a series of IT projects until 2021, which will increase the efficiency of business processes.

The Company improves the intellectual property management system, including:

  • Rationalization and inventive activity;
  • Planning and implementation of R&D;
  • Introduction of new inventions into production;
  • Replication of best practices.

In 2017, 202 titles of protection for the results of intellectual activity were received. We used in the production about 10 thousand rationalization proposals, 626 inventions, 311 utility models and computer programs, about 16 thousand ideas for improvement (Kaizen proposals), which resulted in 23.5 billion rubles, including 22.1 billion rubles from the use of inventions and utility models.
